Case
Context
When my friend's mobile startup was on the verge of collapse because its emotional design had reached a dead end, he asked me to join the project and pull the product out of the crisis in time for the first release
Situation
I diplomatically convinced the stakeholder to validate the basic UX against real feedback, without overloading the first build with emotional design before PMF was found
Task
The goal was to ship the starting version — but I designed a flexible UI foundation that saved resources for future development
Result
Presenting the mockups on real devices together with an Apple Watch prototype produced a wow effect, confirming the ecosystem was ready to scale
Challenges
Helped Them See
When the client wanted to put every feature on the home screen, I carefully argued the risk of cognitive overload using clear benchmarks, defending a clean focus for the first run
Different Perspectives
The stakeholder and I read the word "minimalism" differently, which led to friction — until I built a clickable interactive prototype and started speaking with the client in a shared language of artifacts
Solid Base Isn't a Compromise
We had to design twenty screens in two weeks before the deadline, so I temporarily traded deep detail for assembling the mockups from a ready library of native components
